Activists Say Uber, Lyft’s Minimum Wage Raise Still Not Enough | NBC News Now

After Uber and Lyft drivers rallied in California to support a bill that would categorize them as company employees, the companies countered by offering a $21 minimum wage for drivers in the state. But activists say it isn’t enough.

  1. If the law passes, maybe Uber and Lyft can just not do business or provide service in CA. All of the drivers can pick up jobs at the taxi companies and keep driving people around.

  3. Drivers are getting paid between 35 cents and .60 cents per mile before gasoline and car maintenance. Slave labor in 2019.

  8. This is why we need Andrew Yang. When Tesla robo taxi comes around, it's game over for everyone else. They just released Tesla insurance today in California. We need to vote in Andrew Yang while we still have time to get ahead of all these massive transitions in our economy.
