I was raised by nuns in a catholic school in Mexico. There was this Nun her name is Margarita and she was the kindest and courageous nun I have ever met.

I stayed in a Catholic Maternity home in the 80's. The Nuns (Sisters) were beautiful, peaceful and present. They were quiet yet engaging, sitting with us in the TV room knitting and quietly encouraging us. There were house mothers and social workers so I think their job was just to be there. It was a time in my life (17 yrs old)when I didn't know if I was coming or going. Very, very scared and alone with an uncertain future. I keep my baby, some teen girls put their babies up for adoption but it was probably the most peaceful time in all our lives. I really hope there are still safe Maternity homes for girls in this day and age especially with Roe Vs Wade overturned.

My great aunt is a nun. She tried to recruit me and my sister at my grandmas (her sisters) funeral.
My other grandma whom is still alive was almost a nun. She was in the convent for a few years but saw signs that it wasn’t her calling. She then married to the man who was writing to her while she was in the convent and has 5 children and one of those children is my mom. I’d never been born unless she dropped out of “nun school.”
We are living in a new world of skanks without respect for themselves that nuns will be history soon, what ashame.
The Catholic Church is the problem no equality for women in their archaic system the world has evolved but the male sexist world within the church is making this decision a no no no no
Catholic nuns I knew from school had to put up with so much from the men, doing all their dirty work in the name of God. Keeping secrets like you couldn't have nightmares about. Turning their heads while horrible things are done in the name of chairty. It's much more difficult to raise a woman with those same blinders. That's why most are in their 80s and dying out.
They are just like everyone else. A lot of them do their dirt in secret that's the only difference.
I was hoping it was because they realized that WE EVOLVED.
