A spinner with 400 plus wickets in Australian conditions- that too a finger spinner…. Nathan Lyon is the best finger spinner ever in test cricket.
It's a telling stat that 96 of 199 tests smith and lyon have played are against Eng and India. Imagine the extra wickets, catches & runs they'd have if they played teams like West Indies as often as England does. 2016-2024 Australia plays windies 2 tests, Eng plays them 15 tests!!
