Navy Seal Edward Gallagher was convicted of posing with a dead ISIS fighter, but the Navy was directed by President Trump to keep the embattled SEAL in his elite commando unit, Defense Secretary Mark Esper said. Richard Spencer, the Navy Secretary who allowed a review of Gallagher’s conduct to move forward, was fired by Esper yesterday.
