Customers across the U.S. are seeing drastic increases in their electricity bills. American are expected to pay 20% more than last summer, with many states seeing even bigger rate increases. Pennsylvania regulators are now warning of a 45% hike. And some customers in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire will see an increase of 50%.

At the beginning of the year, I read that all the bills were going to go up an average of $100 per household in America. And if I remember it they said there's about 130,000 households. I'm pretty sure it had something to do with climate change.
It's sanction on Russia to other countries that gas went up so fast. All about supply and demand.
Is this not price gouging? 40-50% increase in utility pricing is crazy, it should be illegal for providers to do this! What are the government price regulators doing about this? And of course MSNBC uses the typical democrat-sponsored excuses for the price increase – even though the gas and coal used to generate electricity are domestic, as are the power companies.
Time to start taxing the energy giants triple so they see how it feels to struggle. There killing us out here but they sit back and charge us double in this dangerous heat. It's time they got taxed for a change.

My electric bill went down to $110 from a budget of $150 during a month of extreme heat in the Ozarks. As soon as there were rumors of war and the expected fuel supply shortages we made simple lifestyle adjustments that resulted in huge savings. So we will continue to conserve energy and fuel. Frugality is financially rewarding.

The month before my bill was 236.00 this past month, 436.00. As more people get solar for their homes and the electric company gets less from them, the company is getting their profits from those of us that don't get solar. Which is itself a scam.

We’re in Southern Orange County, California and our electric bill was outrageous! 253!!!!
This is why on a normal basis, you always have sustainable energy usage. I was once mocked for having so many fans in my home. But when the heat is this bad, there is reduced cost. You can run the air conditioner to cool down dehumidify, and then continue with a fan.

Woooow…am from Nairobi Kenya and if I convert 174$ to Kenya shillings it adds up to almost 18000 shillings and for me that is like a 6 months worth of electricity…Kenya's electricity costs are actually expected to even go further down in August
My bill in Australia doubled in price. Everyone should shop around for the best deals. I did and I bought the cost back to its original price
