IMHO, he is certainly the most gritty cricketer I've seen from India. He was always working you out, never gave an inch, excellent thinker and most importantly, he was an honorable man on and off the field. He's an ideal role model for young kids growing up.
Probably the grittiest cricketer India has produced since Kapil Dev. You sir, made your country proud and made most of your skills as said by Waugh. This thing can be said about very, very few people.
