The desalination plants now operating full-time should be redesigned or shut-down entirely as they dump trillions of gallons of heated-acidic-brine back into the ocean. This changes the nominal pH of ocean water, thus triggering rapid deglaciation and causing a cascade of climate change disasters!
Fog-nets are better than nothing and can be incrementally improved over time to increase yield efficiency. Coastal fog is a reliable source of fresh water (rolls in at 0400 and is dispersed by 1000 am daily) and is as pure as God’s tears … and free! Though they ought to be retractable/collapsable so as to not interfere with bird/bat habitats.

Politicians made climate change a political issue when it is an engineering problem. No one expects politicians to solve an engineering problem. Here is the problem. Reliable power comes from fuels. Fluctuating power comes from alternative power (wind/solar) and makes an unreliable grid. Biden need to put out a public request, asking engineers & scientist to collaborate and come up with alternative green fuels just like they solved the rubber problem in WW2, then fund production of new green fuels. The whole world is going to need a lot of that new fuel to replace oil & gas. My guess, is that hydrogen fuel could be created from water, combined with CO2 extracted from the air, compressed, turned into liquid methane, which could be used in electrical plants and automotive. Synthetic Methane can be mixed with natural gas in any percentage as production comes online. Another possible alternative, algae absorbs CO2 from the atmosphere and could be a fuel & a food. Scientist & engineers around the world probably have many other possible solutions. Refocus the country and the world into better fuels.
Why We Need Global Warming 80% of the worlds oxygen is produced during the summer phytoplankton bloom. In 1960 the world population was 3 billion and has grown to 8 billion and will grow another billion in 15 years. CO2 rise correlates with that growth in population. Human populations, livestock populations, and energy combustion to support those populations need oxygen. Global warming is God's way of balancing unrestrained population growth by giving us longer summers and longer phytoplankton blooms. If you want to stabilize CO2, then you need to stabilize world population by having only 2 children, one to replace each adult. If we don't stabilize CO2 & world populations, the earth will eventually become a lush tropical planet. That was the environment the world had when the dinosaurs were alive.
