What’s a jail guard? I never heard of those before. I have however heard of detention officers that went to the police academy.

Just when you think humanity has gone to sh…Something like this happens. Faith in humnity restored. I'm not going to tell you what I do for work but my cynasism has grown tremendously over the years because of my job. I cherish stories like these.
This is just proof how docile alot of these dudes are. Look at how easily they got out of that cell lol they chose to just get their time done
This is not unheard of or even that shocking in corrections. Most corrections officers are alone supervising many inmates. Sometimes the only ones who can respond fast enough is the inmate.

Idk about that state where this happened but here in CA i know in the handbook for the CDCR prison system I read that if you do anything "heroic" of sorts that helps Dave a staff (guard or civilian staff) that they will look into a sentence reduction for you if you qualify.
Judge should see this lighten d prisoners sentence?!

If they are not murderes or rapists or something that over the top give them a reduction
For the most part, people get what they give.
As long as you respect them they will respect you.
I'm guessing most of those inmates were there on petty BS? They probably committed the unholy act of possessing marijuanas.
That was very sweet of them to do that! I wish more people would do that these days! Rather than get into fights!

I left a comment of the HA incident as it happened, when I viewed the video earlier today; I'm happy to see this guard thank the jailed inmates that wasted little time in trying to save his life. I'm leaving this comment prior to viewing this video.

Look having been in jail a few times myself when I was younger
Most prisoners in that situation know, their crimes ain't gonna lead to life in prison. Even getting ready to pay the penalty for their crimes…these men showed the compassion instilled into everyone of us when we were kids

Not all Criminals are evil and heartless and this just shows… of course it depends on the crime they commited aswell i guess just hope the Inmates wasn't murderers or rapists or something
I always wanted to know what the outcome was wen I had first seen this…if the guys eva got thanked or something….well done u guys and az for the guard…takes a real kool guy to cry and thank guys who were prisoners in this situation… what a kool azz ending!!
