NBC News NOW is live, reporting breaking news and developing stories in real time. We …

  1. Screw you, Fox. You couldn't get your facts correct if your life depended on it. Many people are not even in the system, because they've been unemployed too long…

  2. inflation is almost irrelevant to workers. inflation matters to bankers and matters to businesses that buy commodoties. what matters is the cost of living growth. RENT is my biggest expense. My rent has increased 12% each and every year. inflation may only be 1 or 2% but rent is not even considered in inflation. inflation is irrelevant to consumers compared to rent and energy cost increases. our wages are growing far to slow when you consider the real costs of living and inflation is not a major factor in the real cost of living for people.

  3. A UN inspector reports that Alabama has the worst poverty in the developed world. Without a tirade against every Democrat that ever lived, what is Donalds' policy to cure this?

  4. Statistics of unemployment is absolutely wrong. How do you know ? You shell go to job fair to see the line stretched for several avenues.

  5. Faux News at it again spreading fake news ! 😂
"Extraordinary year" Mr. Labor Secretary ? How so ? These are the numbers for the past 10 years :
    2010 : 1,035
    2011 : 2,075
    2012 : 2,174
    2013 : 2,302
    2014 : 3,006
    2015 : 2,729
    2016 : 2,318
    2017 : 2,153
    2018 : 2,679
    2019 : 2,108
    It's just about ordinary wouldn't you say ? 😂
P.S. – These numbers are right there on the Dept. of Labor Statistics web-site ! 🤣

  6. Congrats to Trump Admin for the 29,000 peak of the Dow.

  7. They better not take our double standard deductions back errrr

  8. Ya wages went up 2.9%. Now what they don’t tell ya is that the cost of living went up like 10%. Wake up people

  9. (Suzie) Like james carville says.."It's the economy..stupid!!"

  12. We need to vote in another Democrat President so we can be in a recession and depression again. </sarcasm>

  13. looks the media is getting anxious

  14. Somehow, Blinky Lugosi will try to grab the glory for President Trump's work… Again.

  15. why he trying to block bolton from taking the stand because he has something to hide .Tell yall president man up and stop being a coward behind his actions coward

  16. I don't believe their figures. Until about 10 years ago it was very easy to get a job. Now anywhere from 60 to 600 people are applying for the same job. Wages still are much too low and a very high number of peopke are living below the poverty level.

  17. Creating 146000 new jobs is not extraordinary. Every month people get older and some enter the job market for the first time. In addition people move to the US and need a job. 146,000 jobs in a month is not enough to employ those people. The only reason the unemployment rate did not rise in December is because many people who were unemployed stopped looking for work. Trump in his presidency has overseen about as many new jobs as the number of people entering the job market. The unemployment rate has declined only because a large number of people in the US have given up looking for work. They may stop looking for work because they got old enough to retire. Or because they became disabled. Or because wages available for them are so low they decide working is not worth it. Or maybe their spouse got a new job or a raise so they decide they do not need to work. But contrary to what people think job creation in the Trump presidency has not been outstanding. It is better described as adequate. In fact job creation in 2019 was the lowest since 2011.

  18. Extraordinary year of workforce all because of tax cuts, deregulations, winning legal lawsuits in WTO, World Bank, World Economic Forum. There were many WEF Summit operations conducted in 2019 by USA🇺🇸President🤴🏻Donald John Trump HIS🤴🏻👸🏻 Administration.

  19. Dont forget the trillion dollar debt this year alone

  20. I should hope so after all the currency manipulation

  21. This is great news…but the democrats want to annihilate this growth. They have done absolutely nothing to help us reach this achievement. How anyone can still be out there supporting them is beyond belief.

  22. People overlook the GREATEST OIL STRIKE IN HISTORY, no, not just in American history, the GREATEST OIL STRIKE IN HISTORY, on federal lands in the Permian Basin of Texas, and the multiplier effect.

  23. I’m not religious but thank god Hillary didn’t win the election….

  24. A dip? Hmmmm still strong but got to work on it. Diversify with your allies.

  25. I like the labor secretary … seems to really know his job and enjoy it.

  26. People are traveling around then pick up to work again….so its OK right…not slowing… take a break…

  27. Trump 2020 We Love You. 😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇

  28. Sane Americans want our disgusting president behind bars

  29. I can always tell a liberal: cunts incapable of being happy who want to drag us down to their sad sack level. This guy never smiled, and it's ONLY ALL good news for US. Tells me right where he's at… and he is NOT on the side of what best for Americans!

  30. How much money does trump pay these people to say this Or is he just blackmailing them ?

  32. Vote Yang. Corporate America can have all the fresh meat it wants. They can outsource again too.Let all the manufacturing jobs go to the 3rd world.

  34. I voted for president Trump in 2016
And I will vote for him again in November!

  35. Trump said he would make America great again. How on Earth will Trump get reelected on such dismal economic data and jobs growth? Americans will see through this sham and go with the Democrat narrative (who ALWAYS tell the truth – ask Adam Schiff, the most honest and honorable leader in since 1776) and vote for Joe Biden, with his excellent idea of dismantling the US economy. A vote winner any day of the week. Yay.

Millions of Democrats just became Trump voters. 🤗

  36. Democrats are the peoples enemy you vote this guy in this like you volume the devil win

  37. I love Trump, and I'll be voting for him. And I think he has helped create more jobs out there. He's trying to bring them back from China.
BUT the unemployment rate and the inflation stats have been faked fudged cooked since the 1990s. Everyone knows they don't count all people who are unemployed anymore in the UE number. And the worst inflation contributor, (the most important inflation component for our standard of living) HOUSING, is no longer considered in the inflation statistic. Housing prices can rise to $millions for that average house and the government can tell us "infaltion is low." This while our standard of living slips away. To compare these numbers to the ones in the past where they were not cooking them is at best disingenuous. Give us a break.

  38. Restaurant managers are making big money these days. Taco bell says it plans to hire in managers at 80 to 100k ,with some positions in CA at 165k.

  39. Thank God for president Trump, hard work and caring for the people

  41. The Dow hit 29,000. Nevermind it fell again🤦‍♂️

  43. Great Job President Trump, keep up the great work.
