Parts of the U.K. are bracing for temperatures to hit 104F for the first time on Tuesday after it recorded its warmest night on record, bringing widespread travel problems to commuters in London. Britain has been put on a state of “national emergency” alert as temperatures could surpass the previous record of 101.6F recorded in 2019.

Went to Las Vegas in August 2019, it was like 114 Fahrenheit, and we walked miles a day miles, no big deal. With a breeze it really wasn't too bad. I'd hate to see people from Europe in the southeast of the U.S. in 80 or 90 degree weather with 100% humidity. Now THAT is hot.

It’s going to be 110° in my area today. The highest is 115° this week for the next few days. It’s absolutely brutal even being “used to it”. I hope these people are able to stay safe. I know they don’t have AC as commonly there and they aren’t accustomed to that kind of heat. I hope they can stay hydrated and cool!
