It is important to have Yadav, Ash and Jadeja play both the warm ups and the best spinner should play in Adelaide.
you know what guys- washington is a decent batsmen in all formats for his state team and he has shown in IPL as well but the problem is the management, coaching staff and the captain has to utilize his full potential as a batsman, he is a left hander which is an added advantage and he can use long handle and his technique is very compact too, i would rather use this guy, sarfraz khan, surya kumar yadav also in 3 formats and sarfraz khan has a tremendous record and he can bowl leg spinners as well, our management's mindset is very traditional and safety first type they have to think out of the box and make some gutsy but calculated risky decisions too because almost all teams have pretty long batting line ups and a good list of 3-4 allrounders which we need to groom and mentor and test them out ASAP.

Well yes, but actually no. Sundar is a good option for this series because of his good form and a need for an all rounder, but playing Mayank might be hard. Unless Mayank is okay with playing at 4, in that case this team can be played:

It would be slightly unfair to Iyer, but he's not been in good form even in the IPL so I think it's reasonable.
Edit: Shikhar needs to play because of his form and L/R combination, which is exceptionally important for strike rotation.

Since India lost the ODI series, I don't think Kohli would want to take risks. So he'd most likely go with the experience of Dhawan. With Rohit still to come, Dhawan will most likely be India's back up opener at the T20 WC and not Mayank Agarwal. I think India should bat Jadeja at no. 5 or no. 6 in place of a specialist batsman this series to see if he can handle the challenge of batting as a middle order batsman. If he can do that, Jadeja and Hardik in the top 6 could give India additional bowling options at the T20 WC. I'd play Washington Sundar at no. 7 because he can bat reasonably well and he give you those vital overs in the powerplays. Lastly, I'd go with Manish Pandey over Shreyas Iyer at no. 4 because he Pandey is more no. 4 batsman than Iyer in T20s. Iyer's ideal batting position in T20s is no. 3 but obviously Kohli bats at no. 3 for India.
