Everyday Americans have had to create a budget and live among the budget. My family has and has helped reducing the debt we owe and at the end of the day we have a little money left over. It is time for the government to have a fiscal sound budget and stop useless spending that we don't have. Joey is complaining about the debt limit but then sends hundreds of millions over to Ukraine. Enough hold Joey to the line and if he doesn't want to compromise and reduce some of the wasteful spending then it falls on him and if is responsible for it. By the way the world won't. end if there is a soft default and no everyday Americans will feel or notice anything different. But if this out of control spending doesn't stop then the recession will be stronger, inflation will be higher and then people will continue to have less and less money

Suspend all benefits (health, security, etc) for Congress, House of Reps, and the Prez if the gov't has to shut down. They should all feel the pain of a shutdown just like the rest of us. Let's get it figured for America and not our Party.

Why does debt have to pay for benefits and government projects? The taxes (revenue) are responsible for paying government pensions and salaries, infrastructure projects and medical insurances, not a debt/loan.
