Funny how when politicians like Jeff Davis and John C Breckinridge commit treason, raise and equip whole armies, kills thousands of Union troops, and thousands of southerners as well, somehow they don’t even get charged with, ahem! what is it? ah yes! (seditious conspiracy) but when John Q Nobody intrudes in the Capitol, “lock him up! and throw away the key!” I hope to see the day when our side can pay the conceited brethren on the left back for their arrogance and lack of compassion, they could have chosen a more conciliatory path, they could have said, This man sincerely but wrongly believed the election had been stolen, but in the interest of unity we’ll cut him a break for his foolishness, we’ll issue a blanket amnesty to all persons involved” if they will swear an oath to disavow all violence. just think about how that could have softened hearts, it could have brought us all together, nah! they don’t operate that way, that’s why Jeff Davis was never charged, because Republicans and conservatives are far more reasonable than their political opponents, they recognized at the time that to go after the southern president would only needlessly antagonize the wounded feelings of the recently defeated South, and they wanted unity, above all else, C’mon! dems! what’s with this vengeful attitude? Thanks for not telling us exactly what this guy did. Reading the department of justice final decison on the matter, he pretty is getting 18 years for being dumb, going to the Capitol, told some friends to go with him, stood outside the doors so he can yell to others "Y'all come on in! Y'all steal Pelosi's dentures!", he had a logo or a patch … that's bad for some reason, he had the ability to call up some other dumb guy who can then drive his crappy car over to the Capitol and bring weapons such as knives and useless guns to … do … don't know.

If Rhodes was expecting protection from Trump, then it's no wonder he shot his own eye out. He should have known that Trump idolizes dictators, like Castro. What happened to the people who fought beside Castro to take power, he put them in prison so they couldn't oppose him. Most died there. What are the chances Trump had the same thing in mind for Rhodes and his buddies.
