Unemployment is only low because people are not qualified to file. The unemployment is no where near as to what it actually is. If anyone was on unemployment during the pandemic they did not have an actual earned income being taxed so they don't qualify to file unemployment. I was on unemployment for a few short periods, and I am laid off again and unable to file because I didn't pay into the program via taxes last year. These places are mostly hiring temps to get caught up and then laying off again and again and again.
