St. Louis, Missouri is experiencing record rainfall, an amount that has not been seen in over a century, causing deadly flooding. Rescuers are scrambling and getting people from rooftops and cars. Authorities confirmed that one person trapped in their car has died. Scientists say the extreme heat supports more intense rainfall, which causes flash floods to become more frequent. More rain is forecast for tomorrow.

The reason it's so wet there is because all that extra water was siphoned off of the western half of the country where we've been experiencing drought for almost 20 yrs now.
