  1. Not sympathising with Shreyas and he maybe deserving this treatment for whatsoever reason best known to selectors and team management. However, Shreyas may have the option of going to the court.
In the period 01 Oct 23 to 30 Sep 24 he has played Asia Cup and all matches in ODI WC which is much more than 8 ODIs and also 4 tests..this is actually exceeding the automatic qualification eligibility. Moreover, how valid is a contract that is finalised 5 months after it's start date! And this late finalisation of annual contracts after more than half the international matches of the cycle (October to September) is over has been happening over last few years. If the start of an annual contract is 01 October, should these not be finalised before that and signed off! This practice of BCCI waiting for half the number of matches getting over in the contract period and then based on convenience finalising contract is actually unethical.

  2. Stupidity to remove contract for a guy who has done so well for thr country. Kishan doesn’t wanna play red ball. Why force him. He’s definitely in the top,30 crickettere in thr country

  3. This was going to happen.Kohli, Pandya and even Rohit were getting special privileges so when others started to do it BCCI had to crack the whip

  4. I think that NCA's claims without any jurisdiction enforced an imposing a ban and restricted his central contract! Few years ago in donkey's years BCCI enquired about an probe into the NCA's feasibility regarding it's structure with regards to the accuracy around it's transparency! NCA acts as an statutory body responsible for every national level players rehabilitation and nursing of core endurance training sessions under consideration with the national team management! NCA is responsible to assess players rehabilitation schedule and refer to BCCI regarding players injury status and how the roadmap should be and BCCI would make arrangements accordingly

  5. During their UAE T20I series, Afghanistan Cricket board banned three male players from playing franchise cricket to prioritize national duty back in December 2023. Other cricket boards may soon follow this pattern.

  6. This is an asinine tantrum being thrown by the BCCI…why are they forcing players to play red ball cricket when no one is watching the format.

  7. Never play with Politicians and their sons. In this case Ishaan Kishan and Shreyas played with powerful Politician Amith Shaw Son Jai Shaw. However Jai Shaw is correct, as millions of Indians longing to play for India but don't get get opportunities that easily. Though Ishaan and Shreyas got chances and they pick tournament at their will which is not going to work anymore. Ishan should have cemented wicket keeper spot in the absence of Pant but not produced consistency and now Dhruv Jurel got one opportunity and he grabbed with both hands. Even Great players like Tendulkar and Dravid and Ganguly never shy away from Ranji cricket but Ishan ignored BCCI warning time and again and now he facing the heat. If he proves once again it is going to be very difficult to break starting 11 as Pant is getting cured and Jurel is playing well.

  8. Will the bcci enforce the criteria on Rohit, Virat, Bumrah, Jaddu, Pant, KL, Hardik, Shami ??
I think they are targeting Shreyas and Ishan…its extreme.

  9. It’s not selective
    It’s all about discipline
