Mentally ill people should not be allowed to possess firearms. Why is that difficult to comprehend? Makes no sense.
Now saying “one has mental issues” seems to be the latest “get out of jail” card, that suspects’ families to the suspects themselves, are trying to play to get out of being convicted or convicted w/less punishment, for such heinous crimes as murder.
This suspect’s family jumps right to that conclusion though they didn’t seem to consider him dangerous or even a threat, to let him live w/them vs reside in a 24/7 mental facility. So why now is his mental status an issue for them to bring up & broadcast to news reporters??
