Video recorded by NBC affiliate WHEC captured the moment a man attempted to attack Rep. Lee Zeldin, R-N.Y., who is running for New York governor, at a campaign event in Perinton. The man was subdued by people in attendance and authorities took the man into custody.

How do you think it would’ve gone if he’d started firing with an AR-15 from 40 feet away…you know, like the repub killers of abortion doctors, nurses, pregnant women, and whoever’s standing around. The same as it went when some punk kid picked up someone else’s assault rifle, and did what dumb kids with guns do—he used it to shoot someone who tried to disarm him. (Just like they disarmed this guy, except in Kenosha there was a firearm involved and two people died.)
